TOWER BRIDGE WALKWAYS ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

Seasoned Events has now begun the venue management contract at Tower Bridge. One of the most iconic landmarks in London, the walkways opened in 1894 and offer an unrivalled panorama of London, taking over 400,000 visitors per year.

PIGGOTTS TO SUPPLY FLAGS FOR INAUGURAL ARMED FORCES DAY

Piggotts will supply over 500 bespoke flags for the first ever Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27th June. The day, to honour Britain’s past, present and future forces’ personnel will take place at many towns and cities throughout the UK, with the primary event taking place at the Chatham dockyards.

CROWN FOUNDATION DONATES TO MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION

Foundation Trustee Amanda Beer presented Jane Watson with a cheque for over £4,000 to the charity that grants wishes to people fighting life threatening diseases. Amanda commented ‘I’m thrilled that we can help such a worthy cause. Plus the new Crown Foundation enables others to donate and get involved with our fundraising activities.’

Crown Group (UK) Limited has been awarded the RoSPA Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety. As a RoSPA Award winner, we are entitled to publicise the Group’s success by putting the RoSPA 2009 Gold award logo on letterhead and other stationery.

Our own double Michelin starred chef Daniel Clifford has been starring on BBC2 for the latest series of Great British Menu. Over the past 3 years Great British Menu has cooked for Her Majesty the Queen at her 80th Birthday banquet and thrilled some of the world’s finest chefs with some of the very best, cutting edge contemporary British food.

KUDOS HOSPITALITY RETAINS IIP ACCREDITATION IN 3 VENUES

Congratulations go to the teams at Tottenham Hotspur FC, Gibson Hall and Church House who have all recently retained their IIP status. MD Jon Pryce said ‘Training is an important part in working for a Crown Group company and we’re thrilled that this is formally recognised.’

HAC HIRES HEAD CHEF ANDREW TAYLOR & PASTRY CHEF MARK SARGENT

With a wealth of experience in both the restaurant and corporate catering world, Andrew Taylor takes up the head chef’s post at the HAC. Taylor will be responsible for overseeing both the a la carte lunch menus as well as the corporate and private event menus. Sargent joins as the new dedicated Pastry Chef.

CHRISTMAS WITH CROWN IN 2009

Atlantis: The Lost Kingdom at Vinopolis, where classical Grecian mythology and Roman civilisation meet Egyptian deity. The venue will be filled with Grecian ruins, wild foliage, ancient gods and stunning water features. Entertainment from fighting gladiators dressed in traditional costumes beckons guests into dinner to the sound of a beating drum.

VENUE RESERVATIONS HIRES 3 NEW KEY MEMBERS OF STAFF

Adrian Riches joins as the new Head of Venue Reservations taking over from Nicky Pratt who moves over to join Seasoned Events as the Head of Customer Services. Tony Burder joins as a Senior Customer Services Executive replacing Debbie Thomas now at Tower Bridge. Sam Mitchell joins as a Business Development Executive.

EVENT HIRE’S PUB QUIZ RAISES CASH FOR COMIC RELIEF

As part of their fundraising initiative for the Foundation this year, The Event Hire Company raised £160 at a pub quiz which took place at the Headley in Great Warley.
